Josh finally gets the Wood Elves on the table while Luka fields the scuttling masses of the Ratmen in a 2000 point Age of Fantasy showdown using The Rescue mission. Half the armies start off board, a panicked librarian is the prize, and the table is one big booby trapped book return. Josh leans into classic Elfy nonsense, a Grove Champion on a Forest Dragon, War Dancers with glider wings, waves of Glade Scouts, swift Deer Riders, and a flock of Owl Riders circling with ambush on their minds.
Luka goes Battle Master heavy with strength in numbers, Storm Veterans with great weapons, Rat Ogres, sneaky Night Scouts with smoke bombs, late arriving Snipers, a Blessed Platform chanting for buffs, and the much maligned Death Roller with twin gatling guns. Expect cat(bird???) and mouse movement, positioning puzzles, and the age old truth that the natural enemy of the rat is the owl.
